WRM NYMIR Management Team Bios

William Fishlinger is the Chief Executive Officer of both Wright Risk Management Company, Inc. (WRM) and Wright Employee Services Company, LLC (WESCO). Mr. Fishlinger is also the senior partner and President of the law firm of Congdon, Flaherty, O'Callaghan, Reid, Donlon, Travis & Fishlinger. As an attorney, he has been involved in the defense of many of the largest civil cases brought in New York. He has also been recognized for the creation of some of the most innovative and successful risk financing vehicles, including NYMIR and the NY Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR). Mr. Fishlinger has lectured extensively in the areas of general litigation, environmental law, medical malpractice, risk management and insurance. A graduate of St. John's University School of Law, and the State University of Maryland, he is admitted to practice law in both the Federal and State courts of New York. Mr. Fishlinger also served in the United States Air Force.

Gerard Elicks, President - WRM. Mr. Elicks was the first President of the NYMIR division of WRM. He is an attorney specializing in insurance law and brings his experience with workers' compensation, personal injury, employment practices, and related insurance matters. Mr. Elicks represented claimants before the NY State Workers' Compensation Board as a licensed representative from 1984 through 1988. A graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he received a BA in economics, he received his Juris Doctor for St. John's University, School of Law in 1987. He is admitted to practice law in New York.

Brian Custer, is the President of the NYMIR Division of WRM. He is responsible for the administration and management of NYMIR. Mr. Custer has over 20 years of insurance underwriting and marketing experience. He has served as the New York State Manager for PENCO, a national underwriter of school and municipal programs, as an Account Executive for a large independent agency and as a Production Underwriter for the Hartford Insurance Group. Mr. Custer has extensive experience in the design and implementation of alternative market programs. He received his BS in Business Administration from SUNY Oswego and earned the CIC designation.

Richard Calame, Vice President and Senior Claims Manager. Mr. Calame supervises administration and handling of property and casualty claims. This includes determination of coverage, reserve setting, litigation management, claims disposition, managerial reporting, and claims auditing. Included within his responsibilities is the management of the property, casualty, and professional liability claims for the NYSIR and NYMIR programs. These two programs include in excess of $40 million in reserves, processing 3,000 claims each year. Mr. Calame is a graduate of St. John's University and brings over twenty years of claim management experience to his position.

Robert Bambino CPCU, Vice President - Risk Management. Mr. Bambino is responsible for the coordination of risk management projects for all WRM clients. He received his BA from Hofstra University in 1975 and his CPCU designation in 1988. Mr. Bambino is an instructor at Hofstra University where he teaches insurance risk management courses in the University College for Continuing Education. Bob has published articles on risk management and has spoken before numerous groups on risk management and insurance related topics. He has also served as a consultant to the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, working on projects related to the CPCU program.

Susan O'Rorke, Director of Marketing. Susan is responsible for the coordination and administration of marketing services to all NYMIR clients in Eastern New York. She has over 20 years of insurance experience, specializing in the public sector, and brings this experience to the NYMIR program. Susan is a graduate of MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL, and has obtained the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) designation. Susan also holds her Property & Casualty broker license.

Thomas Lalor, Casualty Claims Supervisor, NYMIR Division of WRM. His responsibilities include managing all aspects of claim processing by the NYMIR claim staff for Automobile, Inland Marine and General Liability claims. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree and graduating from Touro Law School, Mr. Lalor was admitted to practice law in both the Federal and State courts of New York. He tried cases and practiced law in the insurance defense field for eleven years before joining WRM.

Terence Greene, Controller of Statutory Accounting for Wright Risk Management, and the Accounting Manager for NYMIR. He has extensive experience in statutory compliance as it applies to property casualty insurance, health benefits and insurance captives. Mr. Greene has over 10 years experience directing statutory accounting, investment management and coordinating audits from outside firms for the NYMIR program. Mr. Greene received his B.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees in accounting from Adelphi University.

Wayne Keebler, CPCU, ARe - Since joining the Wright Risk Management team in 2005 to head up WRM’s Underwriting function, Wayne Keebler has worked to formulate, align and enhance corporate underwriting strategies, and to procure and implement reinsurance for new and existing programs.  In addition to the overall management of underwriting personnel, his responsibilities include the underwriting management of the property, casualty, professional liability and workers compensation lines of business for all WRM programs.  Prior to Wright Risk, Wayne worked for over 35 years in the insurance industry specializing in management, risk analysis and pricing for multi-lines at the primary level.  Wayne also has a broad background in direct and facultative reinsurance, having worked for SCOR Reinsurance Corporation as Vice President and Global U.S. Casualty Practice Leader. Wayne has earned professional designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe).  He is a graduate of Ithaca College with a degree in Economics.

Karen Buckley, Regional Marketing Representative – Karen is responsible for the growth and representation of NYMIR in Upstate New York.  Karen was formerly the Marketing Assistant for the NYMIR program.  Previously, she was employed by the Southern Westchester Schools Cooperative Health Plan (SWSCHP).  Prior to her 10 years at WRM she was employed by Travelers Insurance as a Technical Advisor in the health claims department.  Karen has worked in the Insurance Industry for over 20 years and holds a NY State Property & Casualty Brokers License.
